First two days on the Newcastle diet

Yesterday went fine for Wade and for me.  Mom postponed started until today.  We are using BioTrust Low Cal as our meal replacement shake, even though two scoops are only 150 calories.  We just put in a touch extra protein powder.

To make the shake thick enough, we put 1/2 cup filtered water into the blender, add the scoops of protein powder, then put in 1 1/2 cup ice cubes and pulse until blended.  I am also adding one level scoop of Vital Proteins collagen peptides either to the shake or to a cup of hot tea when I get hungry midmorning.

Wade and I had salad greens with basalmic vinager for supper along with our shake.  We were full and happy to be well-launched on the diet.  Here are our numbers to date.  I will update this evening or tomorrow morning.  Notice I'm leaving off the weight, but I'll put the amount lost.  Blogger isn't letting me create a grid, so I'll put an image of our results.  Click the image on the blog post (probably on the left) to see the numbers so far.


For those of you who are on insulin, on the first day, we reduced our insulin dose to 1/2 what we usually take and are watching for signs of hypo or hyper glycemia.
