Cat anger

Pansy loves our new Saavta bed and has been spending more time (like 24 x 7) purring and stropping me than ever before in her life. However.... Some cat, hard to figure out which cat when we have 5 in the house full time, has peed on the bed, new cotton blanket, and beautiful quilted cover. Thank goodness we followed Saavta's advice and ordered a mattress protector. It is a pain to wash all of the above, but the mattress has remained untouched. Cats have been banished from the bedroom because washing all that stuff three times in two months takes more time than I like. Two of the items have to be washed on delicate and dried on very low. It takes forever. Pansy is very unhappy about the banishment and tries to sneak in as often as possible. On Monday, Labor Day, Wade was home and both of us were coming in and out more than usual. She managed to trick me into holding the door a fraction of a second too long and zipped into the now-restricted area. I could not get her out and she wanted me on the bed to show her videos of birds and to pet her as had happened in the halcyon days before the piss events. Since I was cooking, that didn't happen. She wouldn't leave. I couldn't stay so Pansy was closed up in the bedroom. She was NOT happy. I returned about 30 minutes later, hesitant feeling a sense of dread and eldritch fear. Alas, my fears were borne out. Wade's special, extra soft pillow that squishes down very thin, his between-the-knees pillow had been the target of Pansy's protest. The Pansy-pee stain was huge, stretching from one side of the pillow to the other. Don't know if she ran into the bathroom and emptied the cat water bowl there or what, but she managed to pee completely through the pillow on to the cotton blanket and quilt. Wade's rage make the Hulk seem like the Dalai Lama. Since the bed was unmade (imagine that) and since the pillow was near the foot of the bed, and since the covers were all crumpled up, only the edge of the blanket and quilt were Pansyized. I propped a box under the wet edges, turned the fan on them full blast, and am postponing the wash until another day. Oh, how the mighty housewives have fallen. I blame the cats. Wade now has a new pillow which he doesn't like as much, but oh well. We cat lovers do the best we can as we live with frequent catastrophes.
